There’s really no other country quite like Australia. It’s a large and ever-changing entity. Its cities hold onto their roots, but they continue to grow and evolve. This is a nation with just as many man-made wonders as natural wonders. If you’re looking for a trip that has it all, then Australia can certainly give you that. It offers sunshine, vibrant cities, and mesmerising scenery. That description still doesn’t do justice to the land down under, however. Let’s talk about Australia’s most impressive destinations in 2019.
Sydney
This wouldn’t be an article about Australia’s most impressive destinations in 2019 if we left Sydney off the list. No matter how much this country changes, Sydney remains one of the most beautiful and important cities in the entire nation. That’s evident from the picture above. The Sydney Opera House, for starters, draws millions of visitors every single year. It’s stunning from the outside, but this isn’t just a visually-appealing building. The Opera House puts on a wide array of fantastic theatrical and musical shows every year. You should see one whilst you’re visiting the city. It’ll give you the opportunity to explore the Sydney Opera House on the inside.
Make sure you visit the Sydney Harbour Bridge too. Again, this is an architecturally impressive structure, but that’s not the only reason to visit the bridge. It also offers mesmerising views of the city. And if those views aren’t rewarding enough on the pavement, you could always consider climbing the bridge (with professional help, of course). There are very few bridges in the entire world that allow visitors to climb them, so this is definitely an experience you should seize with both hands. Once you’ve had enough of the city itself (if that’s possible), you might want to do some sightseeing in the nearby area. If you’re looking for some Aussie holiday ideas, then going on a road trip to the Blue Mountains could be fun. Those mountains are truly stunning. ![]()

Brisbane
Brisbane has always been one of the most important cities in Australia, but it never stops changing. As you can see from the picture above, its skyline seems to continuously climb towards the clouds. It is an exciting city with so much to see and do. Going swimming at Streets Beach should be at the top of your priority list. Obviously, there are beaches throughout Australia, but the location of this beach is what makes it so special. It’s situated in the heart of the city, and that means you have fantastic views of the skyline whilst you take a dip or lie on the beach and soak up some rays. You’ll feel as if you’re still a part of the action.

If you want a little break from city life, then you might want to visit Fraser Island. Located just off the coast of Queensland, this island draws plenty of visitors every single day. Why? Well, it’s naturally stunning, for starters. It’s the largest sand island on the face of the planet, and there’s nothing quite like strolling across its crisp beaches. But there’s also plenty of amazing wildlife on this island, and that’s a big part of its appeal. Obviously, Australia is full of incredible animals, but Fraser Island is home to a particularly fascinating range of species. You’ll find swamp wallabies, possums, squirrel gliders, and even bandicoots on this transfixing island. You should book a tour so you can be shown the full extent of this island’s beauty by an expert.
